The young musicians of Julianstown Youth Orchestra are delighted to return to the Droichead Arts Centre on Saturday 12th December with their Winter programme, under the direction of Maia Matthews (Academy Orchestra) and Lorcan Daly (Senior Orchestra). The orchestras are excited to collaborate at this event with singer songwriter SJ McArdle for a unique performance of ‘Tidewaiter.’
Tidewaiter” was written by SJ McArdle as part of his song-cycle PORT - produced by Droichead Arts Centre and supported by Drogheda Port Company - and its accompanying album Old Ghosts In The Water. The song was arranged for orchestra by Paul O’Brien and was recorded in January 2026 under the direction of Lorcan Daly. The project is part of a three-year collaboration between Drogheda Port Company and the JYO.
