What better way to start the festive season than with the forces of the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra featuring prize-winners of the prestigious Veronica Dunne Singing Competition 2016, Fatma Said and William Davenport. Join the RTÉ NSO for a sparkling programme of opera and seasonal favourites including opera highlights from Massenet’s Manon and Lehárs Giuditta, musical highlights from Bernstein’s On the Town and West Side Story and a selection of seasonal orchestral and vocal music including the beautiful O Holy Night.

From its foundation in 1948 as the Radio Éireann Symphony Orchestra the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra has been at the forefront of symphonic music in Ireland providing an unbroken stream of concerts. Since that time, the orchestra has firmly established itself as a primary force in Irish musical life.

The perfect concert to launch the festive season.

The Series is funded by the Arts Council and Louth County Council and is produced in partnership with Droichead Arts Centre.

A marvellous, wonderful orchestra”  Maxim Vengerov, violinist
