Information For Visual Artists

Droichead Arts Centre gallery is a curated space. We aim to transform our gallery into an energetic visual arts space accessed and understood by the community we serve; focusing on promoting new work and practices. In 2015/16 a range of artists, curators and cultural partners were invited to present work in the gallery. The gallery’s curatorial programme is devised through a number of processes including; a bi-annual request for professional artist submissions, special once off commissions, curatorial collaborations and residencies. Work has also been conceived and been produced inside and outside the confines of the gallery in site specific locations. In addition to exhibitions we present an extensive programme of related talks and workshops with artists each year.

Exhibition Submissions

Droichead Arts Centre s for professional artist submissions approximately every two years. The Open Call is through our seasonal brochure, website, e- zine, artist database as well as through prominent artists newsletters and member organisations e.g. VAI. Artists should note we do not accept unsolicited applications for exhibitions outside of the submission open call dates and due to limited resources your submission will go unacknowledged.
