31 March

#DroicheadConnects

We plan to share some of the online arts resources and content from across the world with our audiences and participants over the coming weeks on our website and social media platforms, and we will update on a regular basis. We will also continue to work with artists in the North East Region; supporting our artists in association, our company in residence, our Borrowed Ground Collective and we will look at how best to share work for our audiences to enage with.

Our buildings might be closed, but our creativity and community will continue. #DroicheadConnects

Our team is currently working remotely - we are in the process of rescheduling events affected by the current situation and will contact ticket holders effected as soon as new information is available. If you have any inquiries, you may reach us by email at info@droichead.com At the moment our buildings will not open to the public until the 20 April, and we will keep you up to date on any changes. To all, stay safe and healty.

Our team will now be working remotely - we are in the process of rescheduling events affected by the current situation and will contact ticket holders effected as soon as new information is available. If you have any inquiries, you may reach us by email at info@droichead.com

In the meantime, inspired by our colleagues in Axis Ballymun (and because, although we don't look it, our 30th Birthday is approaching), over the next few weeks, we have decided to dig into our archives and share some of our cultural memories with you, our friends. Thank you and stay safe.

12 March 2020

Following directives issued by the government and health authorities, as a cultural institution, Droichead Arts Centre, Stockwell St and Barlow House,  will close to the public from 6pm today until Monday 30th March. All events scheduled to take place in this period, including tonight’s performance in our theatre and our classical music event have been postponed, and will be rescheduled to a later date. We will make contact with all patrons and will be in touch with more information regarding show rescheduling and/or refunds as soon as possible. Please note that confirming new dates may take some time. Events taking place after 30 March will be reviewed regularly against Government advice at the time. For more updates, please keep an eye on our social media and our website,  and we will try to respond as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and support as we react to an ongoing situation.

Droichead Arts Centre places great importance on the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, participants, audiences and our artists.  We are monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 and will continue to do so. We will follow the advice and direction of relevant authorities in all matters of public safety, and regularly update the measures we have put in place. All programmes are currently scheduled to proceed, and we will notify audiences of any changes, and update our website regularly. We ask all our staff, audiences, participants, volunteers and artists to be aware of COVID -19 symptoms, and act accordingly. We thank you for your consideration and understanding.
