Once again Droichead partners with Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival and Access Cinema to bring a premiere screening in Louth of this new Irish Film. This year we are screening off site in The Arc Cinema in Drogheda.

Actor and filmmaker Tom O’Sullivan’s feature debut is a strong, character-driven thriller set during a tumultuous period in Irish History. Starring Dónall Ó Héalaí, Michael McElhatton, Siobhán O’Kelly and introducing a stunning debut from 11 year old Saise Ní Chuinn. Set in Ireland, 1845, Arracht tells the story of a fisherman who takes in a stranger on the request of a priest. Events that follow lead to tragic personal struggles , but hope may come in the form of a young girl who needs his help.

A haunting tale of overcoming grief and the fight for survival. Arracht was filmed entirely on the remote west coast of Ireland in Connemara

Supported by TG4, the Irish Film Board (IFB), and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) through the Cine4 scheme.

From January 2020, all in person/phone bookings will be subject to a €1 booking charge per ticket. Free online booking.
