In association with our exhibition programme, we host FREE workshops in our gallery and print studios for second level students, where professional artists work with students on the creation and making of artworks. For Leaving Certificate Art, Craft and Design students in 5th and 6th year, we provide tours specifically based around Section III Appreciation of Art: The Gallery Question (q:16).


THE GREAT FILTER | Sean McGuill | First Solo Award 2019 | 30 Oct - 30 Nov| A combination of mixed media prints and an installation of hydro-printed 3D objects. Sean will facilitate two workshops. Sean will facilitate two printmaking workshops. |  Thu 14 Nov & Thu 21 Nov |  11am - 1pm

EMIT  | A new body of work by artist Vivienne Byrne | Opening 8 Dec – 15 Feb.  A series of mixed media installations, incorporating collaged fragments of video footage, projections and traditional drawing techniques inspired by the natural envirorement.

SHIFTING WALLS | A group exhibition by artists Kate Beagan, Jo Cummins, Roisin Duffy, Jackie Hudson-Lalor and Niamh O’Connor, curated by Sinéad Smith | 26 Mar 2020 - 18 Apr 2020 

Exploring the theme of ‘Shifting Walls’, interpreting what that means to them as artists at this particular phase of their lives – a time of great flux and change on a personal, social and physical level.Workshops facilitated by participating artists: Mon 30 Mar | Wed 1 April | 11am - 1pm


Tours specifically based around Section III Appreciation of Art: The Gallery Question take place from Tues to Thurs in our gallery.  Each student will have the opportunity to go through the resource pack for Leaving Certificate Art, Craft and Design, specifically devised for Section III Appreciation of Art : The Gallery Question (q:16).
