By Iseult Golden & David Horan

Following a hugely successful run at Galway International Arts Festival, sold out performances on the Peacock Stage, a Fringe First Award in Edinburgh, and a sold out run in the Bush Theatre, Class arrives in Drogheda.

Brian and Donna’s son is nine years old, and he’s struggling. That’s what his teacher says. Says he should see a psychologist. But Brian and Donna – recently separated – never liked school, never liked teachers. So are they going to trust this one? And should they?

Class is an explosive triple confrontation in a classroom over learning difficulties, love and entitlement. Funny, heartbreaking and beautifully observed, and nominated Best New Play 2017 by the Irish Times Theatre Awards, Class is new Irish writing at its finest.

Inspired look at society through the prism of a parent-teacher meeting. With an outstanding cast, a laugh-out-loud yet gut-wrenching story this thoroughly enjoyable show reflects our fractured zeitgeist brilliantly” - The Sunday Times ★★★★★

A different Class… hugely entertaining and immaculately performed” - The Irish Times ★★★★

Three terrific performances, two exceptional writers and directors, and one extraordinarily brilliant script” - The Arts Review ★★★★★

First produced in association with the Civic Theatre and the Dublin Theatre Festival, Class enjoyed two sell-out smash-hit runs at DTF and The Abbey Theatre, receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.

Writers Iseult Golden and David Horan are independent theatre artists who have worked together on new adaptations and original work for over a decade. David's previous success has seen him pick up a Fringe First Award for These Halcyon Days and a Stage Award for Excellence for Beowulf: The Blockbuster. Iseult Golden is an actor, writer and co-artistic director of Inis Theatre who has performed in and co-created all of their shows, including The World's Wife, Lady Susan, To Kill a Dead Man and Tick My Box! Class is their seventh collaboration.
