BY ORLA MURPHY

A swimming pool in post-earthquake Christchurch, New Zealand. Recent Irish emigrant Maeve is learning to swim. ‘Swimaholic’ coach Doreen eggs her on. Maeve must battle the water and an unresolved dilemma with Johnny, her much-loved father, back home. Mixing serious themes with warm humor Remember to Breathe is a deeply moving play about moving home and moving on.

Remember to Breathe won the Lustrum Award at Edinburgh Fringe and was nominated for Fishamble Best New Play Award and the BBC International Playwriting Award. It sold out its Tiger Dublin Fringe run  as well as completing a successful run at Edinburgh 2016.

"Three-hander about learning about life through learning to swim is spellbinding. Spellbinding script...inventive use of space with sculpted sound and lighting that follow the action with split-second timing." The Stage

DroicheadpresentsDramaTheatreClub returns for the new year with an exciting season of acclaimed plays that will engage and entertain. Theatre Club brings audiences together to see terrific plays, and then chat and discuss it afterwards. Like a book club, our audiences can share their views, thoughts and impressions in the relaxed, informal setting of our café /bar. But this season we're upping the ante with no less than 7 highly acclaimed plays in the programme, but you'll be glad to hear that membership is still terrific value with the chance to see all 7 plays for just €77.
