Following on from its highly successful inaugural event, The Drogheda Songwriting Festival is delighted to announce, in conjunction with the Droichead Arts Centre, a series of songwriting workshops to be held in Barlow House. Each workshop will be a three-hour event mentored by songwriters of the highest calibre, each of whom will bring their own experience and expertise to bear on the topic of developing skills in the craft of songwriting. There will be a practical aspect to all the workshops, with time provided for the participants to engage with the concepts introduced and do some writing, with the aim of  creating new songs during the event. Collaboration and co-writing with fellow participants will be strongly encouraged. 

All workshops will take place on Saturday afternoons in Barlow House, from 2 to 5 pm. Tickets €25 each, and spaces are limited to a maximum of 20 per workshop. The first workshop will be hosted by Keith Burke.
