Sandra (Léa Seydoux) is a young, widowed mother who juggles her job as a translator withcaring for both her young daughter and her ailing elderly father (Pascal Gregory). As herfather's condition deteriorates, Sandra unexpectedly reconnects with an old friend, Clément(Melvil Poupaud). Deceptively simple, director Mia Hansen-Løve (Bergman Island) deftlyweaves a profoundly moving portrayal of love and loss.
