Led by Áine, Bríd and Mick Dunne, three very experienced musicians from a strong musical family in Drogheda. Their traditional group ‘Shamrock Shore’ plays regularly in the Drogheda area and they have led sessions for young musicians in the Droichead Arts Centre and Drumshallon Forge Heritage Centre, Co. Louth. Slow music sessions are an excellent way to allow learners play in a session type atmosphere and build a repertoire The purpose of the session is ‘not’ to give music lessons or to teach new tunes.
This event is a collaboration between Meath and Louth County Councils for this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg, produced by Droichead.
Workshop 1 : For Beginners. 2:30pm - 3.15pm
Workshop 2: For Intermediate 3:30pm - 4:15pm
(For children under 12, we will require parents to sit in on the session)
